"The" Movie on Family Rights ---------------------------- 'Support? System Down' has been years in the making by an Independent Producer, Mr. Angelo Lobo. Many have seen an earlier release, but the film has been re-cut to emphasize the basic violation of Parental rights that happens in Family Law. Originally, the movie had been scheduled for showing the week of July 11 - 16th at the Regent Showcase Theater in Los Angeles. This would have been an "Academy Award Qualification Screening." Just last week the production company was informed the theater did not qualify. Arranging another there can be a very expensive proposition, with 7 day rental periods costing app. $10,000 or more (which means at least a thousand viewers at $10/ticket just to break even). The reason for the Qualification is to get as much exposure for the film and the issues in the movie must be shared with the public. The Film is about "Our" Stories ------------------------------- We need to awaken the Nation to the need for reform. This Film helps people who have not been through it -- understand how the current "system" destroys families. Angelo needs help with two key ingredients, publicity & money. Publicity - we were joking about Angelo hanging from a tall building while holding the DVD in his mouth. What is needed is something that would bring news coverage..... TV interviews or public demonstrations. Review your plans with Angelo and he may be able to participate with your group. Money - your contributions are welcome.
